Hey there! A little about me! My name is Vanessa Gilbertson. I grew up in a military family and moved all over this great country. Moving 27 times before graduating high school and now on move number 40 altogether you could say I’m am an expert in the field of relocating and the concept of adapting to your surroundings.
After graduating high school I attended Central Bible College where I graduated with an associates of arts degree in Deaf Ministries. (It’s funny when I say that to people the first thing they think I said was “Death” ministries. It gets some funny looks on faces.) From there I moved to Van Buren, AR where, a few months later, I met that wonderful man in the picture up there, Brett. (That is a fun story I will share in a later blog post.)
About a semester after we got married, Brett joined the Army, where we spent our one and only duty station at Fort Hood, TX. We some great people there. About mid Feb 2016, he officially got of the military and we moved down to central Florida. Here we both got jobs at the happiest place on earth, Disney! 🙂
I grew up with a love for ballet and the arts. I started dancing at the age of 12 and still love to dance to this day. Although ballet has been a big focus and passion of mine pretty much my whole life, my number one dream has been to be a mommy. This has been my strongest desire for just as long as I have wanted to dance.
I hope you enjoy this blog, and I can’t wait to share my heart with all of you!
